Since the crowd...

Salutations, all!

It has been a couple of weeks since the Dutton crowd dispersed back to their places of origin. The first batched of leaves have been picked up off the lawn and the plants cut back for winter. The potatoes have been dug and eaten. The swamp cooler is winterized and the heater engaged. Fake pumpkins, orange lights, and yellow "Caution: Enter if you Dare" tape are strategically placed to recognize the season. A couple chats over Halloween costumes have taken place, but there are no Halloween plans (and we are not broken up over that) so why bother. Last Halloween's pic from our single days is posted...funny how priorities change. (Jackie O being Nursed by Clark Kent)

Petitions, disputes, and angry words over Pres. Packer's words at

conference are common-place in discussion and media. Probably the most reasonable words we've heard came from a friend. "He's an apostle speaking to HIS religious beliefs to those of HIS own church. If you don't like it, don't join." It was well-timed that President Monson spoke on not judging others.

We had a little miracle last weekend. A large branch died on one of our larger trees. We were worried if we did not cut it down, it would fall on the house when snow piled on it. So we borrowed a chain saw and cut it down ourselves. Yup, it fell on the house. But the miracle is that it did not break the two windows it potentially could have and did not puncture our roof:)

This weekend was crazy-full! Our friend was playing Nancy in Oliver, so we went to the Grand theatre to see her perform. The play was great and she did a great job. Saturday, Michele went up to Snowbird with her sister, Nicole, and mom. Then we both went to dinner for daddy Godfrey's birthday. Then we went to a Real soccer game. Rich has wanted to go for while...it was really fun!
